Newport Pride Autumn Weekend Recap ✨

🍂 We are filled with joy and gratitude as we reflect on the success of our inaugural Newport Pride Autumn Weekend. We would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who participated—sponsors, artists, volunteers, and attendees—who collectively made this event a celebration overflowing with love, inclusion, and joy.

Each day of Newport Pride’s Autumn Weekend was filled with unique talent and joy, thanks to the incredible artists, performers, and special guests who made this celebration possible. Our deepest gratitude goes to The Femmes and Midnight Honey, who kicked off the weekend with an unforgettable Welcome Party at Newport Craft. It was a fantastic celebration to start our weekend!

During our Velvet Ball at Ochre Court, Samba Viva dancers and drummers brought vibrant energy, while classical musicians and DJ Alex Dropo kept spirits high and the dance floor alive. A special thank you to our iconic drag influencers Ladiva Jones and Hailey Starrs from Provincetown for joining us, and to activist Carmen Carrera, who shared an inspiring message about the critical work of the Pride Center for LGBTQ+ youth. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Mackenzie and Darwin, who did an outstanding job as MCs at the Velvet Ball, adding charisma and warmth to an already magical evening.

We wrapped up our Autumn Weekend with a fabulous Drag Brunch at Newport Playhouse, where Mackenzie, Ladda, Lucy Diamonds, and Patty Bourr entertained and uplifted us all. With DJ Aleksandra setting the tone, the Drag Brunch was the perfect conclusion to a weekend filled with joy, community, and pride. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this event a true celebration!

We extend our deepest thanks to the incredible sponsors who made Newport Pride’s Autumn Weekend a reality. Special thanks to McGrath Clambakes, Rhode Island Commerce, Brenton Hotel, Audrain Hospitality, Salve Regina, and Newport Craft Brewing & Distilling Co. for their generous support. We are also grateful to Sarah Schochet Henken, Darrah March O'Connor and Family, Tom Eberhart & Ralph Dailey, The Indira & Nicholas Schorsch, Jr. Family, The Tessa & Brendan O'Donnell Family, The Nitro Bar, Chart House Inn, Newport Playhouse & Cabaret, and Village Heart Bakery & Café for their partnership. Your contributions helped us create an unforgettable weekend filled with community, celebration, and pride. Thank you for standing with us!

✨ We would also like to thank our amazing volunteers who helped create, promote, and run our Autumn Weekend events. Your efforts are greatly appreciated—we could not have done it without you!
