The Newport Pride Center

​Our Walk-In Hours

We are open every Wed - Fri, 1 PM to 5 PM, and Saturday, 10 AM to 2 PM. Every Friday from 1 PM to 3 PM, we host LGBTQ+ domestic violence support with the Women’s Resource Center. Our center is located in downtown Newport at 42 Spring St, STE 2, Newport, RI 02840. Street parking is available, and there is a parking lot directly behind our building.

Resources 

When you come visit us, we have a variety of resources available to you. These include our LGBTQ+ library, a local resource table (local LGBTQ+ groups, physical/mental health organizations, educational materials, etc.), free toiletries & clothing, a drop-box for the LGBTQ+ Archive in Providence, images from the Pride: In Retrospect gallery, and Newport Pride Merchandise.

Programs & Events

Our recurring events and programs include: Queer Connections, focused on crafts, fun, and friendship (first Wednesday of the month, 6:30 - 8 pm), Self InQueery, a free yoga & meditation class (1st & 3rd Saturday from 10:10-10:40 AM), Queers & Crafts, a monthly meeting with a free guided craft and lunch potluck (select Saturday of the month, 11-1 PM), the Last Friday Social, an LGBTQ+ community gathering (last Friday of the month, 6-7:30 pm), year-round informational workshops, and a Trans Joy Celebration in honor of Trans Day of Visibility.
