Join us on May 27th from 3:30 to 4:45 PM for a bystander intervention training session, brought to you by Youth Pride RI. This event will be hosted at the MLK Community Center and is organized by Newport Pride. This a free event open to all! There will be light snacks and drinks available.
Bystander intervention is based on the principle that we all have a role in creating safe public spaces for one another when we witness bias, discrimination, or harassment against our neighbors and community members. This training will equip you with essential skills to effectively respond to such incidents and help us build a safer community for everyone.
